Antibacterial VICRYL™ Plus Coated Suture, Size 4-0, Undyed, 27", with PS-2 needle, is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. It is uniformly braided and coated with a combination of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate for improved handling, knot security, and reduced tissue drag.

This suture is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, excluding cardiovascular and neurological procedures. The 4-0 size offers a balance of tensile strength and minimal tissue trauma, making it suitable for skin closure, subcuticular approximation, and delicate internal soft tissue repairs. The undyed material ensures low tissue visibility when cosmetic outcomes are prioritized.

The attached PS-2 needle is a reverse cutting needle with a 3/8 circle curvature, engineered for precise penetration of tougher or fibrous tissues such as skin or fascia. This needle type allows for clean, controlled entry with minimal tearing or trauma. The 27-inch length allows for efficient multi-layer closure or extended incision coverage.
